The podcast where music and perspectives collide

About Us

Join us, a bubbly American music lover and a sarcastic Brit with a quick wit, as we dive into the world of The Rose and other Korean and Asian rock bands.

One of us is a professional musician, and the other’s the ultimate fan—and sometimes we’ll agree, sometimes we’ll wildly disagree. But what’s guaranteed is a passionate, hilarious, and unfiltered conversation about the music that unites us and the bands that inspire us.

Kelly

You may know Clark Kelly as the vocal cords of Spectral and the sarcasm of KRok Cast, but under her nerdy exterior she thrives on music.

Her musical journey was an unexpected turn as a teenager. It wasn't until she was told to 'let the bird of the cage' at stage school, she realised the profound effect music had on her. Drawn to the alternative world, she debuted as a guitarist and quickly learned that she was better suited to the microphone. Countless bands, hundreds of shows, thousands of miles in a cramped van, and working behind the scenes eventually led to her burning out.

Running away to a normal life seemed like the answer; but music is a demanding mistress. After avoiding requests to flex her vocals for years, fate accidentally stepped in and a pact between old friends became the foundations of her new venture. With a promise to protect her musical soul tribe she founded independent label Ghost Depot Records. An art collective and the home of Spectral.
