Juju B. Goode
So where do we start with the ultimate genre bending DIY artist Juju B. Goode? A man who seems to be able to mould music that seeps into your pours and soothes away terrible days. Mixing rock, funk, soul and jazz with his characteristic effortless cool demeanour, Juju is something new in a world full of bedroom crooners.
Tracks like Sweet Sonora blur the lines between eighties Fleetwood Mac and late nineties Nick Cave. Whereas his collaboration of Everyone Wants to Rule the World with dv/sn on Netflix’s XO, Kitty could easily fill any club floor. Since 2049 he has released two EP’s ‘Future Boy’ and ‘Garden’ (Anne’s personal favourite) and the genre twisting album ‘Smile’. Like any of the musicians we love Juju can’t help but dig into his own anxiety; as he takes a self-reflective voyage of discovery in his latest adventure ‘Greetings from LA’.
